Hi, my name is Sheila Cutbirth and my journey to establishing Legacy Dementia Care began when my mama was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease in 2008 when I was 25 years old. The impact caring for her had on me has stayed with me forever, and motivated me to want to guide others through their dementia caregiving journey. My daddy was diagnosed with corticobasal degeneration in 2023. Due to my own personal experiences, I know first hand the questions and struggles one may encounter once a loved one is diagnosed and the journey that follows throughout the various stages of a disease that causes dementia.

I have extended my journey to help others caring for individuals living with dementia by obtaining a Master of Science Degree from Texas State University to be a Dementia and Aging Studies Practitioner. I am trained and prepared to help individuals from the early stages of a dementia diagnosis through their disease journey. I look forward to helping support, guide and being someone you can rely on to help you navigate your dementia journey ensuring you or your loved one has the best quality of life and well-being!
